Some fantastic shots with Christine playing in a mud puddle.

It has been some time since I have updated this page. with what has been going on in the last little. I have been extremely busy with photography and most of this has been published on Facebook, however there are some things that facebook will not publish and I seek alternate venues to post them. So in the coming weeks I will be publishing some of my latest photos,
I had the pleasure of shooting with Riley. Some experimental shots in motion and multiple exposures.
Over the past few weeks I have been experimenting with light painting. I managed to capture some great images with some very beautiful and talented models. The first couple of times we were just about eaten alive by the mosquitoes but on the third attempt it worked out much better.

I took part in a meetup at the Black Rapids locks a couple of days ago and met a lot of interesting people, both photographers and models. The weather was perfect and the day absolutely fabulous with the models being terrific themselves. I managed to capture a number of nice shots. Here are but a few of them.

Had the opportunity to shoot with two lovely ladies on the weekend. With both some studio shots and some from outside we had a great time. Thanks to Sandra for setting up the shoot and our lovely models Gracie and Danae.
I recently attended a workshop on lighting where we worked on a number of techniques to bring out the pictures to their max. Commencing with a simple one light setup we began with the use of a beauty dish above the model and a reflector below. This provided us with catch-lights in our model’s eyes in two places (upper and lower eye). A sample is here with our Model Katlyn.

The Second setup was similar but we used two Soft Boxes in an horizontal layout. Here the catch-light appeared in two places again however the angle was horizontal this time.

Next we tried some shots with back-lighting. This was done with a strobe and a blue gel cover to give a blue colour to the image.

Here is a sample of an image created this way with our model Katlyn.

Be sure to check out the other shots of Katlyn on my Flickr Site.
I just upgraded to Photoshop CC and decided to pull up some older photos to see what I could do with them. I also found a couple of free Photoshop Actions (www.panosfx.com) that provided some really interesting effects. These photos were done using some of those actions.

I participated in two separate shoots recently and had the opportunity to shoot with some very talented ladies as well as photographers. The result for me was some fantastic shots in the pinup genre. Really my first foray into the genre and the experience was great. Models that I had the pleasure of shooting with were: Audrey Hipturn,
Gypsy Jones.
Rhapsody Blue
Justine RB
All in all I had a great time working with these ladies and collaborated to make some great shots.
The calendar has made the turn and we enter into 2015 with the snow falling and the wind blowing. Having passed a very nice Christmas with the family we now get ready to head back to work. However some shots were taken over the holidays. Below are some shots taken at a Christmas Fun Shoot.
